I had a great time speaking to the students about how to evaluate startup ventures, from a “product”-oriented” perspective. Main takeaway? The startup has to hit the magical trifecta of Desirability, Viability and Feasibility.

We’ve seen rapid growth of digital marketplaces in the past few years, with every new startup taking a different approach on how to seed, reach liquidity and ultimately grow their network. Despite these differences, there are a number of guiding principles that, when followed, set you up for a higher likelihood of success. Orit, Liron and Alona will share their experiences, lessons and stories as product leaders grappling with how to leverage these principles to build compelling marketplaces.

• As Product Managers, how to leverage these principles when evaluating features and making trade-offs

As we increasingly design digital products and services it’s easy to forget we’re actually building for real people, who (for the most part) live in an analog world. In this interactive workshop, led by Alona (Lerman) Stern, we'll talk about how to choose what to prototype, review different prototyping methods, and understand how they can be used to validate and further refine products and services.

Drawing on the world of improvisation, we’ll also test real ideas using role-play in order to super quickly and cheaply gain feedback, insights and deep empathy into our users.
